Well, I took a long hiatus and let life get in the way of updating this blog. I'm about to enter a new chapter in my life and explore new aspects of life. Time to get back into this blog.
Before I start that chapter, I think it's time for me to reevaluate the objective of this blog and to revisit how my life brought me to this point. But the latter will have to be another post.
What's the objective of the blog?
"For selecting and organising my passions in a collection." First and foremost, I'm a teacher. (I do have a teacher blog, http://MsStephTeacher.blogspot.com, and I also need to get back to sharing there.) Teaching is my first passion in life, however, I enjoy many other aspects of life and wish to have a more creative life.
Why do I crave a creative life?
I think it was in me as a child as art was always a favourite subject. However, academics was more of a focus because I was encouraged to focus on a path of a job that was secure and paid. I still enjoyed painting, drawing, ceramics, photography, humanities and more in high school and college. I always believe that if I was born 10 years later I would have chosen the graphic design route but it was so new during my education career and not really an option.
What to do now?
Use blogging, a longtime hobby, to explore and share my different creative passions. Who knows if anyone will even read my posts but I'm putting it out there to release the creative energy.
How do you release your creative energy?
